Discovering Happiness in a World of Negative Illusion

Dawning upon a new chapter in my life after graduating college is frightening, but brings with it a tremendous opportunity for the future.

I’m working everyday at a job I hate, around a bunch of negative people who are currently not happy with their lives. I can now understand why the majority of adults these days are miserable. What I believe is the cause to the misery is not the terrible job they are working, or the negative people who bring them down for eight hours, it’s that fact that they think they do not have an alternative.  Read more of this post

The Fraudulent American Healthcare System

In the past 5 years, our country’s healthcare has been as weak and lack-luster as Barack Obama’s promises.

Yes, all you liberals out there i actually said that.

And I have proper grounds to say it because I am in the healthcare field.  I get past all the red tape in hospitals and other medical facilities that most people living in this nation do not.

If you are an illegal immigrant, chances are I’m not your biggest fan, nor do I agree with standardized healthcare.

Yes its nice in theory for everyone in this country to have health insurance.

Guess what?

It is not economically feasible and working class Americans should not have to carry the weight of others.  If that is the case, then maybe some poiticians should donate some of their bloated salaries to the less fortunate. Before I go on some political rant Im going to educate you on some topics that will affect you and your loved-ones in the future.

I’m just gonna scratch the surface here so let it marinate in your head like some A1 on a porterhouse. Read more of this post

Eco-Boat Uses Body Fat as Fuel to Circle the Globe

The fastest Eco-Boat on the planet will attempt to break the around the world speed record using fuel made from human fat.The boat is named “Earthrace”, which is controlled by Captain Pete Bethune. Bethune told the media that the trip would begin from Valencia, Spain on March 1st of next year.

Eco-boat “Earthrace”

Pete Bethune and his wife mortgaged their house and sold almost everything they owned to help make this project possible. This Biodiesel powered boat is 78 feet long, and carries 3000 gallons of fuel. When it is fully fueled, it weighs a total of 23 tons.

“Earthrace” is powered by 100% biodiesel fuel

It’s been a crazy preparation process for Pete Bethune and his wife. Pete underwent liposuction surgery, and donated enough to produce 100 ml of bio fuel.

The current record holder took 75 days to go around the globe in 1998. Pete said that he plans to circle the globe in just 65 days, shattering the last record. Bethune plans to cross the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian oceans. To cross through continents, he will travel through the Panama and Suez Canals.

Earthrace's route around the world

All the best wishes to Pete Bethune and his wife.

What is The “Real World?”

“The real world sucks man!”

I can’t tell you how many time I have heard that from friends who have already graduated school.

The "Real World"

As I sit on the brink of graduating college in a mere six months, I have spent a lot of time reflecting on what the “real world” actually is.

To me, the real world is the same world I have already lived in. It doesn’t change the second I get that diploma and begin my job search.

Job search.

I laugh at that.

Many people feel that once they graduate college they must go work for someone else, probably hate their lives for the first 5 years, and eventually hope they get to do something they actually want to do with their lives.

That doesn’t have to be the case.

Just because you have been CONDITIONED to believe that way, doesn’t make that “way” the “way.”

There is no “way.”

There is no one leading this whole thing we call life.

There is no one piloting the spaceship that we call home.

If there was, maybe I could agree with you that there is a leader.

You lead your own life.

You make the ultimate decisions on what to do with your life.

Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you “have to go get a job now” because if you truly want, YOU CAN WORK FOR YOURSELF.

In fact, if you look at the statistics, many of the most successful people to ever walk around on this spaceship came from nothing, and didn’t even go to school.

Now I am not saying drop out of school, I am simply saying start thinking for yourself about what you truly want.

Do you really want to be locked in an office cube like all of your other friends working for someone you hate?

Do you love yourself?

Wouldn’t it be better to work for someone you love?

Say for example, yourself?

How about working with your friends too?

Wouldn’t that be the ultimate goal?

Having fun with your friends around the clock 24/7 without pausing to reflect on how “the real world” is treating everyone else?

We here at ZazenLife.com are living that dream.

I have already promised multiple people that this website will define the rest of our lives in the next six months.

Just sit back and watch us go to work.

Peace, love, and zen. :)

Dr. Michio Kaku: “The World in 2030″

A great perspective of what the world is going to be like in a few years.

Skip ahead to 5:27, because the gentlemen introducing Kaku apparently has no idea who he is and has to look at his papers to figure out his credentials.

Pretty pathetic.

This video is a little on the long side, but if you can spare an hour to figure out how your future is going to look like, it is certainly worth it.

Enjoy! :)

Geocaching: The Never Ending Treasure Hunt

Geocaching is in almost every town in the United States and is slowly sweeping the entire world one treasure hunt at a time.

What is Geocaching?

Geocaching is a worldwide phenomenon by which individuals hide pieces of treasure in containers and players try to locate those containers. Once players have found the treasure within the containers they are supposed to take it and replace it with something of equal value. There are several clues and hints people leave behind in order to have their treasure found.

Geocaching Logo

Simply explained on the Geocaching website:  ”Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location”

Where are Geocaches?

Geocaches are everywhere…literally EVERYWHERE. People can use the website: www.Geocaching.com and find potential leads to hidden treasure in their town or surrounding area. They can be anywhere from public parks, abandoned areas, to even underwater locations.  Just put in your zip code and you will see how many geocaches are actually present in your home town alone, the number of geocaches will amaze you!

Who does Geocaching?

Ordinary people all over the world do it. Some people take it as a very serious hobby.

Benefits of Geocaching:

There is several benefits of geocaching. Below I have constructed a list outlining the main ones:

  • A hobby that makes you really use tactics and brain power
  • You retain treasure if successful in your hunt
  • Brings a community of people with similar interests together
  • Can be just plain entertaining and good for lifting broken spirits
  • Some treasure can even link you back to personal roots, see here for a crazy finding during Geocaching

How to join Geocaching:

Go to main website: www.Geocaching.com, and there is a memebership section. They explain the rules and everything in a lot more depth. If you believe Geocaching is for you then I recommend starting today, you never know what you’ll find!

Apocalypse: Now or Not?

We’re one year away from Dec. 21, 2012, the date that the ancient Mayan Long Count calendar allegedly marked as the end of an era that would reset the date to zero and signal the end of humanity.

The Mayan Long Count Calender

There have been many crazy people this year who’ve claimed the apocalypse was near. Remember when Christian radio host Harold Camping predicted that the world would end, twice? First he said it would happen May 21st, and then on October 21st and we’re still here.

There have also been similar warnings about the world coming to an end from various cultures, including Native Americans, the Chinese, Egyptians and even the Irish.

The Mayans predicted a final event that included a solar shift, a Venus transit and violent earthquakes.

Their Long Count calendar begins in 3,114 B.C., marking time in roughly 394-year periods known as Baktuns. Thirteen was a  sacred number for the Mayans, they wrote that the 13th Baktun ends on Dec. 21, 2012.

Many archeologists argue that the 2012 reference on a 1,300-year-old stone tablet only marks the end of a cycle in the Mayan calendar.

Y2K "THE END OF THE WORLD"

“The world will not end. It is an era,” said Yeanet Zaldo, a tourism spokeswoman for the Caribbean state of Quintana Roo, home to Cancun. “For us, it is a message of hope.”

Remember Y2K? People stocked up on water, food, and medical supplies in case the world ended when it went from the year 1999 to 2000. Absolutely nothing happened.

I still laugh about that.

Who knows what’s really going to happen?

Maybe it’s not the end of humanity. It might be some sort of mass consciousness shift that moves humanity in a certain direction. In other words, ending the world as we know it.

But than again, there are the people who believe planet Nibiru’s orbit has it headed for an encounter with the Earth. An encounter that would destroy everything.

Personally, I don’t think planet Nibiru will destroy all of humanity. I believe that the world is experiencing a consciousness shift and has been for some time. Evolution being the driving force behind that shift. Human are done psychically evolving but are still in the process of fully developing our consciousness.

Through Higher Consciousness:

We unlock doors within our consciousness that would be ignored and kept locked by an ignorant person. By attaining knowledge and wisdom we raise our conscious awareness of everything that exists. Slowly we’ll begin to see passed the illusions projected onto reality by our modern society (power, authority, money, drugs, politics). Through knowledge and wisdom we attain understanding. Understanding is a doorway which leads to positivity: equality, justice, love, peace and happiness.

Consciousness is always evolving. If I told you 20 years ago that the president of the United States would be a minority, you would probably have thought I was out of my mind. Our countries recent history has been plagued with lynchings and murders of minorities committed by the KKK and other ignorant minds….but it only took a short time for most people to realize how ignorant they once were. It’s 2011 and America as a nation has voted a half black president into office. It’s only a matter of time before we consciously evolve into a global civilization which has shed its ignorance and is ready for the next link in their evolutionary chain.

Whatever happens on December 21st, 2012, I’ll be ready and looking forward to it. Bring it on.

Where Technology Will Be In 10 Years

Technology has been growing at an outrageously exponential rate.

My belief on the matter is that there is a positive correlation between how far we advance in technological standards and how fast technology continues to grow.

If you think back to just ten years ago phones  were much more basic, now an astounding percent of the population have smart phones with almost unlimited capabilities.

Every smart phone is essentially a handheld computer and almost every other week you see an advertisement for a new, faster phone.

In speaking of computers, their memory, processing power, and graphics have increased dramatically as well.

One statistic says that a  basic model computer from 2007 would have been valued at around two billion dollars in 1989…hard to believe but just one thing that shows how far we have come in such a short time.

Even the new surge of tablets to the market are bringing people the convenience of a very thin and versatile device that is continuously being upgraded. My vision of futuristic technology is almost perfectly eclipsed by a video that Microsoft produced.

It shows what Microsoft feels the near future, 2019 to be exact, of technology will be like from current projects and a unique, creative vision. Watch the video below in awe and prepare for what technology will be like in ten years.

Maps of Hidden Places

This is the Piri Reis Map, which is a genuine document, not a hoax of any kind, that was made at Constantinople in AD 1513. The lower part of the map portrays the Princess Martha Coast of Queen Maud Land Antarctica, and the Palmer Peninsula.

The geographical detail shown in the lower part of the map “agrees very remarkably with the results of the seismic profile made across the top of the ice cap by the Swedish-British Antarctic Expedition of 1949.”

This means that the coastline had been mapped before it was covered by the ice-cap.

“We have no idea how the data on this map can be reconciled with the supposed state of geographical knowledge in 1513.” -Harold Ohlmeyer Lt Colonel, USAF, after evaluating features of the Pirir Reis World Map.

The best recent evidence suggests that Queens Maud Land, and the neighboring regions shown on the map, passed through a long ice-free period which may not have come completely to an end until about six thousand years ago.

Piri Reis could not have acquired his information through explorers of his time because Antarctica remained undiscovered until 1818, more than 300 years after he drew the map.

Piri Reis himself said he based the map on even older maps.

Map making is a complex and civilized activity. He argued that some of the source maps used, in particular those said to date back to the fourth century BC, had themselves been based on even earlier sources.

Many of these maps that Piri Reis used as his sources, along with many other historical evidence were burned to ash when the great library of Alexandria in Egypt was burned to the ground by the Romans.

The ice free coast of Queen Maud Land shown in the map has remained one of the biggest mysteries to geologists because evidence confirms that the latest date it could have been surveyed and charted in an ice free condition is 4000 BC.

There has yet to be an explanation for who or what could have had the knowledge and technology to make an accurate map six thousand years ago, well before the development of the first true civilizations recognized by historians.

Expanding Your Comfort Zone

We can all universally attest to having a comfort zone. A zone where we are comfortable with our surroundings, comfortable with our situation in life, comfortable with the relationships we have, comfortable with our knowledge and comfortable with our level of thinking. For some, it can be impossible to stretch this zone beyond our own perceived level of comfort. It can be easy to get trapped in your current reality not thinking or acting toward growing as a conscious individual. I think we all want life to be easy, simple, and worry-free. We all have areas of our lives that need improvement but we don’t want to address them because it seems to hard. A lot of us have trouble stretching this zone because it takes some work. It takes some work to develop your mind most importantly. It takes work to consciously realize the deeper aspects of life and consciousness.
