Peyton Manning Retiring?

Is Peyton Manning retiring or is this a cruel and fast spreading rumor?
Rob Lowe, an actor on the hit comedy “Parks and Recreation”, tweeted that he received information from some of his close sources that Peyton Manning will officially retire today.
This would be devastating to the NFL and sports as a whole but until official confirmation is made this is considered just a rumor.
UPDATE*
Archie Manning and Peyton Manning’s agent Tom Condon, two of the closest people to Peyton, are now claiming that the rumor is false.
Archies claims, “Nah he ain’t retiring…..he would have told me.”
On the off chance that Robe Lowe is correct, the one potential explanation could be that Archie Manning and Tom Condon are trying to deny the story until Peyton is able to make the announcement himself.
UPDATE*
A potential lead in this rumor has been found as they believe that this may be a SOPA protest issue by Rob Lowe.
This is an effort to show how important sites like Wikipedia, as they are blacked out protesting today, are in providing factual evidence to pressing issues. With SOPA in place, Lowe sees it as we are factually reduced to the point that we have to just make things up and anyone can believe anything.
