STOP SOPA AND PIPA

What is SOPA? What is PIPA?

Unless you have been living in a cave, you have no doubt heard of SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) in the House of Representatives and its companion Bill PIPA (Protect IP Act) in the Senate. Either of these bills, if passed, would have dire consequences for the internet as a whole. Take ACTION. Contact your senator and tell them you oppose PIPA and any efforts to stifle freedom of expression. Likewise, you should contact your representative and tell them to oppose SOPA.

Who Supports SOPA?

You can find a list, complete with contact information, of every company supporting SOPA here. I suggest if you see a company you do business with regularly, you contact them and let them know you will not be using any of their services while they support this act.

Who is AGAINST  SOPA?

Luckily, not all the news is bad. There are quite a number of companies lined up against SOPA, a list of which can be found here. Vote with your wallet! If you use a company that supports SOPA, try to find a competitor that opposes it, and JUMP SHIP!

Why Would Congress do This?

Simply put, they are, for the most part, a den of treasonous, money and power-craving WHORES. Follow the money. Here is a list of industries/companies supporting SOPA and the associated bribes campaign contributions they have received.

TAKE ACTION!

We CAN defeat SOPA (and PIPA). If Bank of America and Verizon can withdraw proposed fees because of a public outcry, we can do this! But you have to make your voice heard! Don’t rely on others to Stop SOPA and PIPA for you! Call and email your representatives TODAY, and tell everyone you know to do the same. Strike a blow for freedom!
