My Top 5 Writing Tools

I have been wanting to do this post for a while and share what I use to do some of my writing and blog posts.

Here are my top 5 tools and instruments for writing!

 My Top 5 Writing Tools

Music is a Must.

1. Music

Music is an absolute must when I am writing.

I need to have something to have my mind flowing and in a positive state. This is easily achieved through putting on my Bose AE-2 headphones on full volume and tuning out of the outside world. It gives my mind a chance to go completely nuts and spit out anything that I have stored in the back of it.

The type of music doesn’t matter.

What matters is that you enjoy the music and it is putting you in a good mood. When I am in a good positive mood and writing, it doesn’t feel like I am writing, it is more a flow state of my fingers hitting the keys and words being produced in a well structured fashion.

If you don’t feel like that when you are writing, you are not writing in a state of your full potential.

Blast some music and just have at it. Don’t expect anything.

Just write.

2. Coffee

I need some stimulation to get all of my thoughts out quick and easy.

Coffee is a big help due to the caffeine contained in coffee.

I choose coffee because I like the taste and the hot temperature tends to wake my brain up.

Caffeine releases dopamine in your brain which gives you more motivation, focus and drive.

I take a lot of other supplements as well.

3. Meditation

Meditating right before I write lets me explore every single angle of what I am about to write about.

It is a great feedback method and a way to formulate my thoughts before I sit down to pound them out.

I have a lot of articles written on meditation if you would like to explore the amazing practice:

Steve Jobs: The Billion Dollar Hippy

Steve Jobs, one of the most successful and creative innovators of the century was….a hippy?

Wait…what?

Yes, you heard that correctly.

Steve was a big tripper and he attributes a lot of his creativity and innovative powers to psychedelics.

Steve was also big into zen meditation.

Steve says taking LSD was one of the “most important things of his life.”

Wow!

Now if you have been conditioned to believe that psychedelics are harmful and make people go crazy, this may seem a little nuts.

However, if you have done some independent research on psychedelics and maybe experimented yourself, you probably have realized already that all the propaganda that has been flooded into your brain is completely false.

Why is this?

It is because our government can’t have millions of people like Steve Jobs wandering it’s streets because they would have already been out of power.

I invite you today to sit down and watch this documentary that BBC has put together on Steve.

It is one of the best documentaries I have seen to date, and is certainly worth the hour of your time.

Stress: The Silent Killer

We all suffer from stress in our lives.

Stress can come from anything.

It can range from near-death experiences, to a death of a loved one,  or just common everyday living.

 Stress: The Silent Killer

I AM SO STRESSED OUT!

Stress can sometimes be a good thing.

Stress can help you focus on meeting deadlines for school or work. However, most of the time stress is seen as a negative and rightfully so.

Technically, stress is not created by external events.

Stress is OUR RESPONSE to external events in our everyday life. When we feel overwhelmed, and feel that we can not cope with what is happening, we feel anxiety which is equivalent to stress.

Physical Effects From Stress:

Our physical approach to stress is a double edged sword.

When our bodies try to cope with stress, it converts energy it has to help you deal with the situation at hand. Because of this effect, our immune systems are compromised, making it much easier to get sick from common colds and the flu.

For people who have heart problems, stress will only increase your chances of heart disease.

Stress from job situations (or lack thereof) can result in insomnia.

Psychological Effects From Stress:

Chronic stress and a lack of coping resources available or used by an individual can often lead to the development of psychological issues such as depression or anxiety.

Depression and anxiety are  psychological symptoms from stress.

My Advice to Deal with Stress:

Talking – This is the BEST way to relive stress.

I know it is not easy, and it sometimes can be tough to find someone that truly cares about hearing what is going on with you, but you owe it to yourself to at least reach out to people who care about you.

Exercise – If you can not reach out, exercise instead.

Sometimes, I don’t feel like talking to anyone.

If that is the case, I will go exercise.

Exercise helps me get rid of my physical stress.

Activities such as running, lifting weights, and playing sports have been GREAT stress relievers for me.

Music – Put on your headphones and just zone out.

Eliminate Stress!

Sometimes closing your eyes and just letting go of any attachment you may feel can be just as rewarding.

Meditation-

Meditation is a great way to relieve stress.

By meditating, you can clear your mind of all your worries and problems and tune into a more positive state.

Thinking positive means not thinking stressful thoughts and in turn, not experiencing stressful emotions and feelings.

Here are the top 5 reasons why you probably don’t meditate yet.

Stress is very dangerous and I’ve seen it take it’s toll on people.

It is crucial for the betterment of your life to find ways to manage or eliminate stress.

You owe it to yourself.

You have one life to live.

Have some fun and party.

Why live it in such a stressful and negative way?

That is not fair to you and the people around you.

Have fun with life, it is only temporary!

Jack3d: The Ultimate Pre-Workout Supplement

Jack3d: The Ultimate Pre Workout Supplement

The King of Pre-Workout Supplements

I have experimented with a lot of pre-workout supplements to boost my energy levels and focus during my workouts.

I have tried supplements such as No-xplode and Superpump250, but in my opinion, the supplement that trumps them all is Jack3d.

Taking 2 scoops of Jack3d an hour before my workouts has boosted my focus, energy, and motivation to new levels during my workout. After taking the scoops, within 30 minutes I cannot wait to start lifting.

During my lift or cardio session, I feel a tremendous amount of energy, excitement, focus, stamina, strength, and intensity that helps me workout for longer than I could have ever imagined. I can feel the rush throughout my whole body and my muscles get a great pump throughout the entire session.

I recommend trying 1 scoop at first to asses your tolerance level, then you can go as many as 2 or 3 depending on how you feel. After a few weeks of taking Jack3d, you may notice a tolerance build up. As it says on the bottle, NEVER exceed 3 scoops if you don’t want to experience adverse side effects.

Jack3d should be cycled on and off for a month as some of the ingredients should not be taken over a prolonged period of time.

For the price and quality, Jack3d is by far the superior pre-workout supplement on the market. For only $25.99, you can get a bottle of 40 scoops in various different flavors. My favorite flavor is lemon-lime and unlike other pre-workout supplements, this one actually tastes great!

Always consult your doctor or healthcare provider before trying any pre-workout supplement. Everyone’s biological makeup is different, and you want to make sure you are not taking something that could potentially harm you. While there have not been many reports of adverse side effects, always be safe!

Make Sure Your DJ Knows What He is Doing.

Having good music isn’t good enough.

You need someone controlling the music and transitioning songs to keep the party flowing at all times.

An experienced DJ is necessary because they will know which songs to play at certain times according to the mood of the party. Your DJ must have a variety of music from all genres to really separate your party from the rest.

You must cater to all guests and take requests for songs to keep them happy.

2. Blacklights

Blacklights create a very cool effect for the atmosphere of your party.

Having highlighters to go along with the lights is a plus. The highlighters glow very well under the lights and you can even tell your guests to wear white shirts to draw on and maximize the effect.

3. Lasers

Intense Lighting

There are a variety of different laser products on the market.

The best are ones that shoot lights in tune with the music and the beat. The best ones also have a wireless controller to adjust the settings of the lasers.

Lasers can be very powerful and spread throughout the party and mix EXTREMELY well with my next item, fog.

4. Fog

Fog The Place Out!

Fog is always fun and it is even more fun in blacklights and lasers because it will show the streaks of the lights in the fog as they spread throughout the crowd.

Be sure not to blast too much as it can be annoying and it will overwhelm your guests.

5. Glow Sticks

Hand out a bunch of glow sticks at the door and let people go nuts.

Shop around and figure out what you want to budget your money on.

Make sure also to provide drinks at your party so you can charge people at the door and make some profit if that is your intention.

There is nothing better than getting paid to party!

Have fun!
