College Researchers Hack Surveillance Drone

The U.S. Department of Homeland security recently “dared” researchers at the Austin Radio Navigation Laboratory at the University of Texas to take control of one of their drones. They succeeded, causing the drone to make a crash landing dive. Read more of this post

TSA Agent Allegedly Lets Rapper Keep His Weed

Rapper Freddie Gibbs claims he allegedly found a “Notice of Baggage Inspection” from the Transportation Security Administration in his suitcase, which held his fully intact bag of weed,  that read “C’mon Son”

Freddie Gibbs, who recently formed the hip hop group P.O.C. (Pulled Over by the Cops) with a couple guys from The Cool Kids, tweeted the picture. “The TSA found my weed and let me keep it. They just left me a note. ‘C’mon Son’. Lol.”

Freddie’s claim does raise a few eyebrows, so what do you think of Gibbs’ tweet? Real or fake?

The Courage To Live Consciously

The Evil Eye of Fear

Living consciously is all about the elimination of FEAR.

Fear restricts us from truly going after what we want.

When you fear something, you resist it.

By resisting it, you avoid things you would normally attack and go after if fear wasn’t a factor. Fear is what keeps your evolution and growth as a conscious human being STAGNANT.

Fear of being broke, fear of rejection, fear of trying something new, fear of what others think, fear of failure, fear of humiliation, fear of being alone, and fear of public speaking are a few common fears we all experience.

How many of these fears are holding you back?

As human beings, our main concern is SECURITY.

We are taught at a young age to not take unnecessary risks, not draw attention to ourselves in public and follow family traditions. We are taught not to talk to strangers, and keep an eye out for very suspicious people. Stay safe, don’t take ANY risks.

Well as you grow up in life, you might never realize that the only way to be OUTSTANDING at something is to STAND OUT from the rest.

This involves taking RISK.

The ones who take risks, are the ones who succeed. You cannot simply sit back in your secure little world and expect to get ahead. You should have the courage to meet strangers, speak out in public and  draw attention to yourself if it is for a good cause.

By doing this you create OPPORTUNITIES for growth through new experiences, new people and new ideas that your secure old little self would never get to even scratch the surface of.

Too many of us have LIMITING BELIEFS about what we can or cannot do. Those are just illusions you have created for yourself. There is no such thing as a limiting belief if you don’t believe in limiting beliefs. Quite the concept to grasp if you aren’t experienced in the field of psychology.

Courageous people are still afraid, but they don’t let that fear paralyze them. Instead of letting fear attack their beliefs, THEY ATTACK THE FEAR and overcome their own limiting beliefs.

Eliminate Fear, Grow as a Conscious Human Being

Most people are too weak, and simply give into fear. It is hard when you have been conditioned your whole life to stay safe and stay out of harms way. While this makes sense when you are crossing the street, it doesn’t make any sense in your career and self-development.

If no one took risks, we would all be on the same page. We wouldn’t evolve either. You can’t get better if you don’t take risk. You stay the same, or even worse, you move backwards into a more self-conscious hole of security that doesn’t have room for opportunity to grow.

The courage to live consciously involves recognizing fear, learning about what fear is and how it affects you, then consciously working to eliminate it.

It is not an easy process, but it is certainly doable. If it was easy, there would be no fear in the world, and we would all be successful. That is not the case, because we value security over risk way too much as a society.

As an individual, you have the choice to take risk. It is your life, you get to do whatever the hell you want with it.

Don’t let anyone hold you back and don’t let any limiting beliefs hold you back. Once you can let go of all fear and worry, you create channels of opportunity to grow as a conscious human being.

Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.

Religion is an Illusion

Now before all you religious fanatics get all defensive, I urge you to hear me out.

At its core, I believe all religions teach the same thing. Be a good person, treat other people well, and strive for peace in the world.

For many young children, religion is a great thing to attach yourself to, to build some strong moral values. The problem with religion arises when you grow older, and can finally pop the training wheels off to realize that it is all a lie and illusion to help sad, lonely people attach themselves to something.

I Don't Exist!

To say there is a “god” is certainly fine. We don’t know what the hell we are doing here and there is some obvious force or higher power regulating this whole thing.

I can tell you one thing however, it is not some dude with a beard in the sky.

Nor is it whatever any religion preaches as their “god.”

There is no god.

God isn’t a person.

God is everything.

You don’t have to believe something that was written in a book 5,000+ years ago, because that stuff is old. It’s old, and we have become smarter.

With the internet, we have access to information at light speed right at our fingertips.

If you research some quantum physics and start looking at the universe in a scientific nature, it is clear that there is no “person” or “god” controlling this whole thing.

God to me is absolutely everything you see around you. We are all connected in some strange way we probably will never be able to fully explain.

We are all energy.

We are all temporary.

We are all the SAME THING.

Detach the religious values you place on yourself and see we all have the same exact operating system.

We all need air, water, and food to survive.

We don’t need Jesus or Moses.

I don’t hate religion, I just don’t like the fact that religion creates lies and illusions of what life is really all about. We don’t need it. Pretty soon we won’t be able to tell lies. The truth is spreading, and its spreading like WILDFIRE.

Positive energy is infectious, I meet more and more people each day beginning to think the same way.

Eventually, we will all think the same way.

I believe the whole 2012 deal has to do with us as a MAJORITY moving toward a better cause.

I feel December of 2012 to be that massive consciousness shift. It doesn’t mean the world is going to end. It means the world AS WE KNOW IT will end because it can’t possibly exist once we all know and understand the truth.

Maybe the world will end.

Maybe we get sucked into a black hole.

Who the fuck knows.

All I know is that I have been infected with the truth, and I feel the need to share with everyone what my experience has been over the last few years. And I am only going to learn more as we go on.

I urge you to as well.

Safety in Big Cities

Let’s face it – The world we live in is very unforgiving.

If desperation could be measured than I could almost guarantee that it would be at an all-time high. With uncertain futures due to economic turmoil it seems likely that crime patterns will rise.

Recently, I have noticed an attitude that has worried me.

This attitude could only be described as a blissful ignorance towards your surroundings. Big cities are homes to some of the world’s biggest criminals.

Cities play host for millions of people each and every day which make it an ideal hide-out for any repeat offender. So instead of ignoring your surroundings let us take use some precautions to make you safer.

Here are some tips on how to stay safe in big cities.

Be Smart! Be Safe!

I know some of you are thinking that you don’t want to live in fear.

All I am asking is that you have these in the back of your mind and just be aware of the possibilities.

If you are proactive then you can prevent an incident from ever occurring.

  1. Learn your city – You never want to be lost in an unfamiliar place. Being lost induces panic in which makes you an easier target.
  2. Travel in numbers – A criminal is less likely to attack you if you are with a group of people. More witnesses lead to a better chance of being caught.
  3. Don’t look like a tourist – Tourists are generally easier targets. Running around the city with expensive cameras and “I love NYC” t-shirts is the equivalent to painting a bull’s eye on your forehead.
  4. Drink in moderation – The best bars are usually associated with cities and it is easy to get lost in the thrill of the night. Stay      composed and make sure you never leave your drinks unattended. The last thing you need is to wake up as a sex slave in a foreign country.
  5. Wallets and bags – If carrying a purse make sure it is fitting to your body and never loose hanging. As for wallets, always try and keep      your wallet in your front pocket. If you must have you wallet in your back pocket make sure to keep the longer side horizontal to your pants pocket.
  6. Jewelry – When wearing jewelry always have it concealed within your clothing. To the right eye your jewelry can tell thieves what you are worth and if you are worth their time.
  7. Phones – Phones are very distracting. Don’t spend too much time on your phone because it may distract you from what is actually going      on around you. Also, phones are just another item to be stolen; some smart phones could range in the hundreds of dollars.
  8. Never pursue a thief - Do not attempt to pursue the thief, even if you think you can catch him. Bag-snatchers carry knives so it      would be best to leave it to the police.
  9. Avoid Crowds – When in crowds you are more likely to bump into people. What feels like a bump could easily be a hand in your purse or backpack. Also, we live in the age of terrorism; crowds are perfect targets for suicide bombings.
  10. Know your surroundings – Always know who and what is around you. This will not be the last time that I speak on the topic of terrorism but recent plots have been stopped thanks to the alertness of pedestrians. Unattended bags should always be reported. Majority of the time it will turn out to be nothing but it is better to be safe then sorry.

Stocks 101: Top 5 Stocks that Pay Dividends in 2011

There is money to be made from dividends.

With the economy in such terrible condition and the uncertainty of how and when the government will fix it, investors should think twice about how risky they make their investments.

Investing in stocks that pay their share holders dividends has become a very popular method of trading because of its security.

Investors realize that the company can pay a dividend because they are doing well and experiencing high growth/profits.

Basically, a dividend is extra money that the company makes in profits, and they share it evenly with their shareholders almost as a reward for investing with them.

Companies with solid and consistent earnings are usually the ones that offer dividends.

Personally I suggest dividend paying stocks, and here is a list of 5 of my favorite dividend paying stocks to look into:

5. Exxon Mobil (XOM)

Exxon Mobil as we all know is an oil company that refines oil and natural gas.

It has a 2.5%yield and consists of the largest market-cap of any U.S stock. If you havent realized, Exxon has been benefiting from the extremely high oil prices.

Their share holders will remain happy as long as fossil fuel remains the worlds Energy source no matter what the price

This growth has made it possible to offer shareholders a quarterly dividend of 44 cents.

4. AT&T

AT&T remains one of the highest yielding stocks ( pays out nice dividends) at around 6.1%.

Now the companies main growths and profits come from their mobile sector and they have been involved in a long-term struggle trying to merge with T-Mobile, but business is good and their share holders are more than likely enjoying the dividends they receive.

3. Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)

With a yield of 3.6%, Johnson & Johnson offers a variety of health care products that people will always need to purchase. Their product varies from drug development and medical supplies to baby oil and band-aids.

Consumers rely heavily on their products, and their profits/gains consistently come in every quarter.

This means they will be more than generous to their share holders and pay out some really attractive dividends.

2. Wal-Mart

One of the largest retailers in the United States known for its great deals makes my list. Wal-Mart has a yield of 2.6% and still pays its share holders a dividend even after struggling tremendously in this economy.

Their stock has lost value and their growth has slowed down, but not enough for them to forget about their share holders.

They have created a good impression for themselves and are attracting more and more investors considering their volume.

1. McDonald’s(MCD)

When someone mentions fast food, what comes to your mind right away? MCDONALDS. Even if you like Burger King better, McDonald’s is the first thing that comes to your mind.

Just this past year McDonald’s expanded their product and menu on an entire different level.

They now serve coffee at the McCafe. What better than having two products that people crave on a daily basis. Fast Food and Coffee.

You can find a McDonald’s on almost every continent, and with their consistent growth and 3% yield, they will be paying dividends to their share holders forever.

In the economy we are living in today, it is not a bad idea to look into stocks that pay out dividends.

Personally, I enjoy any type of income… Legal income obviously.
