ANSWERED: Why is Cleanliness Next to Godliness?

Cleaning is something that uplifts your spirits and gives your soul a sense of ease. Ironically, cleaning is also something that we seem to avoid at all costs. Why is this? Why do we seem to look to find ways to avoid cleaning. There are even entire industries build around doing the work for us. Are we lazy? I don’t think so. I think that cleaning is just like every large task. Unless we have a sense of directions and a strategy, it’s going to seem like a large task to undertake. When we don’t think we can do something before we have started it, we will tend to not start to avoid the pain of failing. However, this is cleaning out house folks. This is something that we should be happy to do. After all, this is the environment we inhabit for, at least, 8 hours every day while we sleep. The key is in how we see hour house. We if see our house as dirty, we wont want to do it might we fail. However, if we view our house as clean already we will strive to make it so when it’s not.

Not matter if your directly religious or not, we can all agree that Jesus was a great man and story-teller. He always talked about being pure; pure of spirit, character, thought, and action. The word pure here is used in the sense of inner purity. But there is a connection: It seems that when our inner environment is cleaned, our external environments seem to become clean as well. This is an interesting fact. It seems that the Buddha was right; “As inner is as outer”. So is it that simple? Do we just have to clean our insides and we will take action to clean our external world? Yes, it is that simple. But we need to take dedicated action either way. We need to take time for daily 30min meditations, and then 30mins cleaning sessions. If you have an excuse of any kind, look at it this way:

If you want 1 hour of negatively driven television per day, you can find time to clean your internal and external worlds.

This is not only for the benefit of yourself. This is for more powerful than just where you live. By taking these moments to do some housecleaning, you will install a mindset for purity. You will start to look for cleanliness rather than dirtiness. This simple shift in focus can completely change your life. When we look for clean vs. dirty our mind will look to “solve” the problem of dirtiness when there is some. For instance, you have now switched your thinking to see cleanliness and your house is dirty, your mind will say “Wait, this doesn’t match what I see. This must change.” You mind will start the thinking, you body will take action, your house will “magically” become clean. But this can only happen after first we shift our frame of mind from looking for dirt to looking for clean.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness because of mindset and attitude. Jesus talked about being pure in spirit and thought. His main focus was concerned with the internal world. Our focus should be concerned with both. We have the tools and resources to apply an internal focus that will influence our actions that will enable our environment to match how we are thinking.

“Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find.” Matt. 7:7

How to Have an at Home Meditation Retreat

We all know the benefits of taking time, but why not spoil yourself and take this resting time a step further to foster a retreat you deserve of. When we visit a retreat, we enter a place of calm and centeredness.

In order or us to take up the task of setting up our own personal meditation retreat, we need to know some things about a retreat frist. A retreat is a place where people go in order escape and find themselves in peaceful state of mind. Why we usually go somewhere else for a retreat because we don’t consider it possible in the current environment.

This means our inner state is directly controlled and influenced by the environment we are in. Therefore, in order to set up your personal meditation retreat, the first step is setting up your inner mental faculties to receiving your current environment as a retreat setting. This starts with, purpose. Understanding your own personal disposition with your environment will give you great insight as to quality of that relationship.

Setting Up the External:

Here are some tips, after you have your mind in check, to get your external environment ready for a at home meditation retreat:

1. Avoid morning caffeine.

Events will be a lot easier on your body if it doesn’t have to struggle with removing the toxins from caffeine.

2. Leave your phone.

Don’t just turn it off or on vibrate. Leave it behind completely. Once you get going, you wont miss it.

3. Do it alone and make it a legitimate ‘me’ event.

This gives your clarity as to what the focus is.

4. Flush out toxins by drinking water and using deep breathing.

This is important in order to keep your physiology in check.

5. Make your environment you own and personal.

If you like the smell of a particular incense or candle, use them.

6. Take this opportunity to improve your ability to concentrate and relax.

Use this time in self education. Learn how you can grow in the next week or month. You have the floor, take advantage of it.

Meditating everyday can be a tough commitment to stick to. With our busy modern lifestyle, we tend to find other things more important. However, what is more important than our own mental and spiritual development? If your schedule is crazy, use a “personal retreat” to hit the mental and spiritual reset button.

How about the weekend? The weekends always have some free time that you can use for meditation. Take a Friday after work to all day Saturday. Don’t leave the house. Plan ahead and acquire what you need in the house for that 24 hour personal retreat.

Things to Acquire:

  1. Juices 
  2. Fresh Vegetables
  3. A Spiritual Book
  4. Clean Water
  5. Incense / Candles
  6. Meditation CD / Music

If you have set aside a 24 hour block of time, acquired the needed things, and have your mental clarity ready, you are ready to embark on your first personal meditational retreat. The key thing to remember is that you are in control of what you do with your time. If you are being studious, you will apply introspection within this 24 hour period in order to understand yourself more fully and completely. The things you may discover during this time may be scary, but I assure you, they are extremely valuable.

We all are in a temporary state.

We all are going to live, then die. There is nothing that can change that.

We all get to operate our very own flesh vehicle for that temporary amount of time.

What you choose to do with your vehicle is up to you. You may choose to fuel it with healthy foods and supplements, or you may decide to destroy it with harmful drugs and chemicals.

You can use your vehicle to pilot you through an amazing life of love and creativity, or you can pilot yourself through pain, suffering, and hardship.

What is the best way to operate this vehicle you might ask?

Answering that question is difficult because we all want to achieve different things in our lives. We all don’t want the same thing, but at the same time, WE ARE THE SAME THING.

We are all in the same race with one similar goal, evolution.

Our goal is to reproduce, and teach our offspring all the lessons we have learned through our lives.

As you already know, there are many parents in this world who aren’t teaching their children how to evolve. They aren’t evolving either. They are stuck in a rut of negativity and project that negativity onto those they come in contact with, especially their children.

These are the type of people that need to have their ego obliterated right in front of their face.

These are the people who could really use some meditation.

There are too many people in this world who have not tuned into what the main goal of our whole race is.

They are the cancer to our whole race.

They are the ones who try to bring us down.

They are the ones that will die first.

Survival of the fittest.

We have gone through a terrible phase as a race throughout the last few hundred years.

Things are about to change.

Positive thinking is taking the lead.

Stay tuned because come December 21st, 2012, things will be a little different. I don’t know exactly how or if there will be some sort of “event” but I can tell you this, the earth is evolving. We are part of the earth, so we are evolving with it at the same time.

My prediction is that at the end of 2012, as a majority, we will tune into a higher consciousness. A higher awareness of our true identity and goals as a race. Everything that has happened in the past will be old news, and we will move on. We will move on to something we all truly deserve. A peaceful and loving world free of negativity and full of positive people working to make this spaceship we call home a wonderful place to live out our temporary states.

The Positivity Virus

Positivity Trumps Negativity

Positive energy is infectious.

Once infected, there is no turning back.

No longer will you experience stress, worry, or negative thought patterns.

Positivity trumps negativity every single time.

There is no way negativity can ever possibly win.

Positive energy feels good, thinking positive creates positive emotions.

Do you want to feel good?

Who doesn’t?

This is why positive energy will always win the battle over negativity.

You can’t possibly want to feel bad all the time. It doesn’t feel good and you have the choice to change.

If you don’t want to change from a negative to positive person, your life is going to suck. Plain and simple it will suck.

No one will want to be around you, you will destroy friendships, and in the end, you will ultimately hate yourself when you realize how much of a rut of negativity you are caught up in.

If you are thinking now that you are a negative person, don’t worry. It is easy to change and form a new thought and belief pattern.

I would start with meditation.

Then I would try rewiring my subconscious mind.

This will start getting you thinking more and more positive each day.

If you don’t gain anything from those articles, it is because your mind has you trapped in a negative state.

You are consciously resisting the new information which is completely normal.

First you must accept your current state of negativity.

Second you must consciously make the choice to infect yourself with positivity.

Third you must realize, THERE IS NO TURNING BACK.

Get your rubber band out and SNAP THAT NEGATIVITY OUT OF EXISTANCE.

You won’t want to anyway, you will feel almost obliged to share this energy virus with all your friends and loved ones.

It just feels to good to be trapped in a positive state.

The Negativity Virus

Negativity will be a thing of the past. It won’t even have the chance to be a thought anymore.

Positive energy is the guiding force of the future. In the future, there will be no more lies, no more deceit, no more conflict, and no more war.

It can’t possibly exist.

There will only be peace, and positivity.

Don’t want to join us?

You will die like all of the rest of the negative fucks in this world. (people who only care about $ and a false sense of power)

The Power of Positive Thinking

Thoughts become things.

I urge you for a few seconds to take a look around you.

Everything around you is the product of thought.

Every item created by mankind was an initial thought put into physical motion and manifested into physical reality.

Without thought, there simply would be no things.

Positivity Trumps Negativity

Having this in mind, think of the possible crazy realities of this idea. Since the human mind is essentially limitless with infinite potential, any thought could in theory manifest in the physical realm.

We as human beings create our own thought patterns whether we realize it or not.

90% of our thoughts come from our subconscious mind which since birth has been programmed by society, media, governments, advertisements and our own unique experiences.

Only 10% of our thoughts come from our conscious mind which has the ability to choose thoughts from a database of thoughts from the subconscious mind.

Since the subconscious mind has undergone so much programming from an early age with no restriction, a majority of us will grow up with negative thought patterns that have been instilled in us by our own parents, governments and cultures.

These negative thought patterns grow with us as we age through time without us realizing it.

For many people, it will be almost impossible to change.

When we consciously start to decide to adapt positive thinking patterns we can tap into the subconscious power to fuel our lives in the right direction.

Thoughts become things, positive thoughts result in positive things.

The more you can eliminate negative thought patterns the more positive things you can produce in your life. Without negative restrictions, the mind can has the ability to strictly think positive at all times and can produce some extremely powerful results if you let allow it to.

Reprogramming your subocnscious is easy if you know how to.

Adapting a new positive thinking pattern will take some time and it will not be easy at first.

Resistance from your subconscious will occur because it is resisting a new thought pattern that is different from its current negative thought pattern. The negative thought pattern tries to override the new level of thinking and if you allow it to it can land you right back at square one in a sea of negative thinking.

Once you are able to overcome the resistance of your own thoughts, you are closer to mastering your own mind.

Once you allow yourself to master your mind, you no longer become a slave to your previous negative thinking patterns.

There are many ways to reprogram your mind into a positive state.

One method I like to employ in my life is zazen meditation.

Meditation enables you to reconquer your mind by slowly calming and releasing all thought. Once the mind is completely still, it is in its purest state. In this state you can tap into your subconscious mind and release all the negativity from your mind.

Meditation is some pretty powerful stuff.

I have been able to bring my mind into an extremely peaceful state at all times and it has allowed me to release all the negative programming I have been exposed to in my earlier childhood years. There are many different methods of meditation and it is an unique experience to each individual who tries it.

Subliminal reprogramming has become very popular over the past few years and it is an effortless method of reprogramming your subconscious mind. Silent subliminal audio tapes can be played anywhere at anytime and will influence your subconscious mind automatically without any conscious resistance.

The audio’s messages go below the threshold of the conscious mind to pick up but the subconscious picks up the messages and acts on them INSTANTLY creating any kind of change you want in your life and can even train you to learn new skills, languages and abilities without any effort.

This new technology is still in its adolescence and has yet to have any major studies done on it but I will tell you that I have personally tried it and I can say it works and produces results.

There will still need to be conscious effort and work put in on your part but if you have the desire to do something, these audio tapes can certainly boost your ability to achieve the results you want.

Positive Thinking is The Key to Success

When you think positively, you get all the creative juices flowing in your brain and your brain acts to help you create the ideas you have in your mind. Negative thinking patterns block the ability to envision a thought as becoming physical.

When you tell yourself something wont happen, it wont happen.

There is no “wont” in positive thinking, it simply doesn’t exist.

Positivity leads to abundance of creative idea that have all led to extremely innovate creations such as iPhones, spaceships, and the internet.

Those are all the product of limitless creative thought. The designers of such products were in such a positive mindset they believed all their ideas would become creations and sure enough they did. The absence of doubt and the lack of insecurities enabled them to explore the infinite creative power of their own minds.

They envisioned something that had not yet been created and had the balls to go for it, and achieved it.

Without positively knowing they were going to achieve, they would have just failed and succumbed to all the roadblocks many of us encounter in reaching our dreams.

Technology keeps advancing because the smart minds in our human race are diving deeper into the depths of human creativity and innovation.

They choose to think differently than anyone else has ever on this planet and that gives them ability to design insanely new powerful creations. And it is going to keep going on forever as we continue through the cycle of life.

Positive thinking is leading the way.

Thinking positively will destroy any barriers you have created in your mind and open you up to the realm of infinite possibility. As unique individuals, we all have different areas of possibilities to tap into.

We all have different ideas we would like to explore and create into our lives and creating a positive thinking pattern for yourself will guide you in the direction towards achieving whatever you desire.

Stress: The Silent Killer

We all suffer from stress in our lives.

Stress can come from anything.

It can range from near-death experiences, to a death of a loved one,  or just common everyday living.

I AM SO STRESSED OUT!

Stress can sometimes be a good thing.

Stress can help you focus on meeting deadlines for school or work. However, most of the time stress is seen as a negative and rightfully so.

Technically, stress is not created by external events.

Stress is OUR RESPONSE to external events in our everyday life. When we feel overwhelmed, and feel that we can not cope with what is happening, we feel anxiety which is equivalent to stress.

Physical Effects From Stress:

Our physical approach to stress is a double edged sword.

When our bodies try to cope with stress, it converts energy it has to help you deal with the situation at hand. Because of this effect, our immune systems are compromised, making it much easier to get sick from common colds and the flu.

For people who have heart problems, stress will only increase your chances of heart disease.

Stress from job situations (or lack thereof) can result in insomnia.

Psychological Effects From Stress:

Chronic stress and a lack of coping resources available or used by an individual can often lead to the development of psychological issues such as depression or anxiety.

Depression and anxiety are  psychological symptoms from stress.

My Advice to Deal with Stress:

Talking – This is the BEST way to relive stress.

I know it is not easy, and it sometimes can be tough to find someone that truly cares about hearing what is going on with you, but you owe it to yourself to at least reach out to people who care about you.

Exercise – If you can not reach out, exercise instead.

Sometimes, I don’t feel like talking to anyone.

If that is the case, I will go exercise.

Exercise helps me get rid of my physical stress.

Activities such as running, lifting weights, and playing sports have been GREAT stress relievers for me.

Music – Put on your headphones and just zone out.

Eliminate Stress!

Sometimes closing your eyes and just letting go of any attachment you may feel can be just as rewarding.

Meditation

Meditation is a great way to relieve stress.

By meditating, you can clear your mind of all your worries and problems and tune into a more positive state.

Thinking positive means not thinking stressful thoughts and in turn, not experiencing stressful emotions and feelings.

Here are the top 5 reasons why you probably don’t meditate yet.

Stress is very dangerous and I’ve seen it take it’s toll on people.

It is crucial for the betterment of your life to find ways to manage or eliminate stress.

You owe it to yourself.

You have one life to live.

Have some fun and party.

Why live it in such a stressful and negative way?

That is not fair to you and the people around you.

Have fun with life, it is only temporary!

Religion is an Illusion

Now before all you religious fanatics get all defensive, I urge you to hear me out.

At its core, I believe all religions teach the same thing. Be a good person, treat other people well, and strive for peace in the world.

For many young children, religion is a great thing to attach yourself to, to build some strong moral values. The problem with religion arises when you grow older, and can finally pop the training wheels off to realize that it is all a lie and illusion to help sad, lonely people attach themselves to something.

I Don't Exist!

To say there is a “god” is certainly fine. We don’t know what the hell we are doing here and there is some obvious force or higher power regulating this whole thing.

I can tell you one thing however, it is not some dude with a beard in the sky.

Nor is it whatever any religion preaches as their “god.”

There is no god.

God isn’t a person.

God is everything.

You don’t have to believe something that was written in a book 5,000+ years ago, because that stuff is old. It’s old, and we have become smarter.

With the internet, we have access to information at light speed right at our fingertips.

If you research some quantum physics and start looking at the universe in a scientific nature, it is clear that there is no “person” or “god” controlling this whole thing.

God to me is absolutely everything you see around you. We are all connected in some strange way we probably will never be able to fully explain.

We are all energy.

We are all temporary.

We are all the SAME THING.

Detach the religious values you place on yourself and see we all have the same exact operating system.

We all need air, water, and food to survive.

We don’t need Jesus or Moses.

I don’t hate religion, I just don’t like the fact that religion creates lies and illusions of what life is really all about. We don’t need it. Pretty soon we won’t be able to tell lies. The truth is spreading, and its spreading like WILDFIRE.

Positive energy is infectious, I meet more and more people each day beginning to think the same way.

Eventually, we will all think the same way.

I believe the whole 2012 deal has to do with us as a MAJORITY moving toward a better cause.

I feel December of 2012 to be that massive consciousness shift. It doesn’t mean the world is going to end. It means the world AS WE KNOW IT will end because it can’t possibly exist once we all know and understand the truth.

Maybe the world will end.

Maybe we get sucked into a black hole.

Who the fuck knows.

All I know is that I have been infected with the truth, and I feel the need to share with everyone what my experience has been over the last few years. And I am only going to learn more as we go on.
