Remember the Montauk Monster?
In July of 2008, a deceased animal of undetermined species washed up along the shorelines of Montauk, New York. Wide speculation was created as to where this creature came from, but many theorists pointed to Plum Island, and the nearby Plum Island Animal Disease Center. Plans are now in the works to move this disease center smack into the middle of American mainland, sparking controversy amongst outraged citizens.
