A Three-Dimensional Map of The Sky (VIDEO)

The Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-III) has released the largest three-dimensional map of massive galaxies and distant black holes ever created. The map pinpoints the locations and distances of over a million galaxies. It covers a total volume equivalent to that of a cube four billion light-years on a side. Read more of this post

New research by scientists in Spain suggests that rather than the universe expanding, as is widely believed, time is gradually slowing down, and will eventually completely stop altogether. Scientists have used measurements of light from exploding stars millions of miles from Earth to show the universe expanding.
