Healing Your Chakra System: A Complete Guide to the Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual Aspects of The Chakras

HJ: The development of your Chakra System directly relates to your level of consciousness and is not necessarily linear, meaning you can have partially developed/opened/blocked chakras. If, for example, you are generally operating at a high level of consciousness but have self expression issues, your throat chakra can be partially blocked while the third eye and crown may be much more fully open/active. The chakras are also dynamic, meaning that they can change over time moving from blocked to open and blocked again as one has various experiences that effect the self emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.

A common mistake people make is focusing only on the physical aspects of healing the chakras.  While this is certainly important, it is really only one layer of 4 main layers (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual) that affect each chakra.  Always remember that energy moves downward from the spiritual realms into the mental, emotional, and ultimately physical experience, so dealing with spiritual issues has powerful effects that echo throughout the other aspects of the self.  From this context one can see the fallacy of focusing solely on the physical aspects of the self and chakra system.  However, as we primarily identify with the physical, this is usually seen to be the cause of and solution to many problems that are actually spiritual, mental or emotional in nature.  So it is with the chakras.  They are the interface between the higher etheric, spiritual realms and the physical body.

As always, do the internal spiritual, mental and emotional work and everything will naturally sort itself out.  In this sense, working with the chakras offers an amazing innate bio-feedback mechanism to help one identify what areas of their own consciousness need the most attention and work.  Understanding the chakra system will give you a roadmap for how various mental, emotional, physical and spiritual issues and imbalances (as well as those things that are in balance) manifest in the body, allowing you to better understand how to approach the healing of your mind body spirit triad. Auras, Chakras & Energy Fields: Cleansing and Activating Your Energy Systems

By Mary Kurus

Why Look After Our Energy Systems?

Our energy systems are alive and intelligent.

They know exactly what they need for perfect health and vibrant energy. When our energy systems are disrupted, blocked, slowed down, or damaged, messages are sent to the conscious level that something is wrong and that we need to address imbalances, blockages and damage.

We are trained to look at the physical body and address its needs rather than look at our energetic systems to provide them what they need for perfect health. Our energy systems are conscious energy and this energy is connected with all energies in the Universe.

Our energy systems act as a connection between the physical world and the metaphysical or spiritual world. When we look after our energy systems we look after our deepest and most profound needs, including the physical, emotional intellectual and spiritual. Read more of this post

Balancing The Heart Chakra

The Heart Chakra is the 4th chakra, located right in the very center of the entire chakra system, which is represented by the colors green and pink.  The Sanskrit name for this chakra is Anahata Chakra, which actually means unstruck. Within the Heart is a deep and vivid feeling of love, where all of our emotions and yearnings are expressed.  We attune ourselves from here with the cosmic vibrations and are then able to perceive the beauty found in everything.  The Heart is where all images, words and sounds are transformed into our feelings.  When the Heart is fully opened it creates a center of “unconditional” love. The Seven Human Energy Chakras

If you are unfamiliar with the human energy centers known as “chakras” check out my article titled The Seven Human Energy Chakras for an overview of how the human chakras operate.

Our chakras are our energy centers that open and allow our life energy to flow into and out of our aura. The seven major chakras are associated with our physical, mental, and emotional interactions.

Chakras are invisible to the human eye, but they can be perceived intuitively by trained energyworkers. Read more of this post

Quick and Practical Ways to Test Your Chakras

Chakras are energy centers or focal points in the body where energy moves in, out, and through the body. There are seven main chakras, all located along the mid line of human body, and each of which governs certain mental, spiritual, and physical aspects of the individual existence.

Generally speaking, the chakras that are located in the upper part of the body are associated with the mental and psychological side of existence. Those in the lower part of the body are connected to the instinctual side of being.

Each of these centers is inherently associated with both spiritual energy and physical health. They are tied to the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental wellbeing of an individuals and any imbalance in a chakra points to an imbalance in the energy of the person. Read more of this post

Kundalini Awakening

Kundalini Shakti

Kundalini Shakti

Kundalini is a dormant energy within most people.

In Hindu mythology, Kundalini is a serpent goddess who lies asleep at the base of the spine, coiled three and a half times around the first chakra.

Under certain circumstances, the Kundalini energy awakens and begins to rise through the body, piercing and opening the chakras. As Kundalini releases stored and blocked energies, the movement can be quite intense, sometimes painful, and often leads to mental states that seem out of this world.

Circumstances that stimulate Kundalini awakening are many and varied, but are usually triggered by such things such as extended periods of meditation, yoga, fasting, stress, trauma, psychedelic drugs, or near death experiences.

Kundalini is a condensed, primal force, similar to the potential energy found in water. When released, it creates a vertical connection between the chakras by opening the subtle channels known as nadi, most specifically, the central channel that moves up the spine called sushumna. If we put water through a small hose at very high pressure, the end of the hose will undulate like a snake. Similarly, the intense energy of Kundalini undulates in the body as it rises through the chakras. Read more of this post

Cracking Your Intuitive Third-Eye Chakra

Human beings are an amazingly complex and bizarre species.

Our bodies do so many things simultaneously to simply keep us alive. Our body regulates breathing, blood flow, digestion and it can even heal itself at the same time.

How crazy is that? Have you ever taken a step back and looked at how crazy of a machine we possess?

By far the most complex item we possess is our brain and our mind. It regulates everything we do, and makes decisions for us based on our programming that we upload into it on a daily basis. All this is going on subconsciously while our conscious minds are constantly juggling to judge everything we can perceive.

The Third-Eye

One of the most fascinating things our brains possess is what has been called our “Third-Eye.”

If you have not read my article on the Seven Human Energy Chakras, I suggest you browse through it before you continue reading, especially the part that deals with the sixth chakra, the anja (brow) chakra.

A lot of this might be new information to you and it may seem really weird but believe me I used to feel the same way. I also believed that psychic powers were fairy-tale, up until I cracked my third-eye through meditation.

It is an extremely humbling experience to open your third eye. You are overwhelmed with a sense of well-being and bliss, and it is hard to describe the feeling but it is similar to euphoria. It is almost too much to take in the first time you are able to tap into it. The first time I did it, I could only take it for about a minute before the strain on my eyes was too much. As I have grown my practice, I can tap in longer.

If you are experienced with meditation and have practiced it, you can try to crack your third-eye. If you can get your mind to a near thoughtless state yet, practice that first with deep-breathing techniques before you try to centralize all your awareness on your third-eye region.

After about 20 minutes of thought clearing and deep breathing, you are ready to channel your energy wherever you wish. Slowly begin to move your eyes towards focusing on the area on your forehead right between your eyebrows. It might feel strainful at first, but don’t force it, once you get through the little strain resistance, your eyes begin to lock in comfortably and all your awareness is taken over by your anja chakra.

At this point, you can feel your consciousness starting to slip into a trance, and your bodily awareness begins to fade. If you have experienced this before, you will be comfortable with it, if not, your mind will judge it, forcing you to THINK and lose awareness. Remember, meditation is all about releasing thought, judgement, and ego.

This is where it begins to get a little weird, especially the first time you do it. As your awareness begins to completely zone on your third-eye, you begin to feel a strong vibration in your whole body. It feels good and is not too overwhelming at first. This is the energy of your chakras vibrating up through your spine into your pineal gland, which houses your intuitive third eye.

In my first attempt, after about 20-25 seconds of humbling vibrations, I began to see a ring of green and purple color which in another few seconds, turned into an image of an eye. Yes, this was completely real to me and this eye resembled my own physical eyes in appearance. It was pretty freaky at first, and it overwhelmed me to the point where I had to break my meditation and open my physical eyes. What happened was my mind was so blown away by the experience, that IT HAD TO JUDGE IT.

There is no way you can experience something like this and not judge it the first time, its way too hard unless you are a spiritual guru. I am in no way a guru, and I still believe I am a novice at meditation. That gives me the motivation to keep going deeper.

What is the benefit of all this? Well, to tell you the truth, you are not going to start reading people’s minds once you are able to visualize your third-eye. You are not going to feel much different and you aren’t going to have psychic powers at all.

What you will have is a more open mind. An open mind that begins to shed away perceived barriers and limiting beliefs. This is ultimately what will lead you to psychic powers. At this point in my life, I don’t have enough time to commit to develop any powers fully. It takes too much time commitment, and a very different lifestyle that I am used to.

What I have noticed in myself after tapping into my eye several times is that I pick up on small details and notice things I wouldn’t normally notice. My power of observation has grown and I can process a lot of different information at the same time from different sensory inputs.

Your third-eye is the link to your intuition. It “sees” things you cant physically see. Your subconscious mind is incredibly powerful, and the third-eye is the link between your conscious and unconscious. When working in unison, you have an EXTREMELY powerful tool at your disposal that can literally create anything it imagines.

We can imagine anything, therefore we can create anything.

This might be a lot to take in all at once to some people who haven’t been exposed to this level of thinking and that is perfectly okay. You are not going to learn about any of these things on TV or in the newspaper. Our society doesn’t value it as much as we value our technological upgrades.

Learn meditation, experiment for yourself, experience it yourself, learn and grow your knowledge and you can have a lot of fun with it. Once you have eliminated all negative beliefs and preconditioned thoughts, you can be open to any experience. Being open to any experience entails that you can literally do ANYTHING YOU WANT without any social resistance. Nothing will seem impossible. In fact, everything will seem possible, and very easy to achieve if you truly enjoy it.
