A Ninjitsu Club in Iran that opened in 1989 has been rapidly increasing in memberships consisting of thousands of women.
Ninjitsu training is said to be a technique that is used to help train both the body and mind evenly. It trains the balance of ones body, and helps the development of concentration. Respect and humility are also lessons that are learned in the training process.
Sensai Akbar Faraji introduced Ninjitsu to Iran 22 years ago. He was the founder of this club which has had 24,000 members, including the current 3500 females. In his own words, he explains the training:
“In ninjitsu, we call men ninjas, while females are called kunoichi. Being a ninja is about patience, tolerance, and fortitude. Literally it means the art of becoming invisible.”
As it may seem as a very personal training to balance the mind and body, Ninjitsu is one of the most lethal and dangerous martial arts in the world. This martial art was used in Japan during early wars, and it proved to be successful for them. This brings up a serious question.
Are these Iranian women doing Ninjitsu training to help their country in military conflict with Israel?
Israel has been pressuring Iran with threats of possible nuclear weapons, so the training of these Kunoichi can very possibly be to help protect the homeland. While training, they use lethal weapons such as bows, swords, nunchucks and shurikens.
Or are these women training for the personal feeling of confidence? They can surely use this with the way they are treated in Iran. Men are much more powerful and important than women. This could be the beginning of a women’s rights movement, but I highly doubt it.
Whether the training is for personal use or for military use, these women are becoming very dangerous, and I feel bad for the men of Iran.
Here is a quick video from CNN showing their training:
