Taming The Subconscious: Taking Your Life Off Auto-Pilot

HJ: In this article, Dr. Dyer states that awareness is the first step in working with and healing the subconscious mind, and indeed this is so.  Until we become aware of the fact that we are often unconsciously operating from the subconscious mind, we are indeed at its behest.  Once we become aware of this through introspection, teachings or writings, we can begin to unravel the mystery and clear out those patterns that no longer serve us.

Wayne’s timeless, Buddhist-esque prescription for working with subconscious is mindfulness, and indeed this is a time-tested powerful way for changing subconscious patterning and programing.  It is one of many ways to work with and trasform unconscious habits, and one that works well for those with discipline.  Nothing is concrete, everything is up for grabs.  If one has the necessary strength in will, anything can be achieved.  No matter how strong the subconscious tendency or programming, it can be overcome through mindfulness, which necessitates and encompasses discipline and will.  These characteristics all go hand in hand and are a powerful triad which can be used to achieve anything one puts their mind to. Meet SKA: The 3,000 Mile Long Super-Telescope

SKA Telescope Logo

The SKA Logo

The Square Kilometer Array (SKA) will be the world’s largest and most sensitive radio telescope when it is completed.

Using Interferometry, which is the linking together of radio telescopes to create a larger virtual telescope known as an Interferometer, the SKA will combine thousands of linked radio wave receptors that will be located in Australia and Southern Africa. Ten countries across these two continents will share the location of this mind-boggling project.

ALL SIGNALS FROM THE ANTENNAS IN EACH REGION WILL COMBINE and create a collecting area equivalent to A DISH WITH AN AREA OF ABOUT 1,000,000 METERS. Read more of this post

A Little Riff on Zen

The word Zen is derived from the Sanskrit word dhyāna, meaning “meditation” or “meditative state.”

Zen is a school of Mahāyāna Buddhism founded by the Buddhist monk Bodhidharma. Zen emphasizes experiential wisdom in the path to attaining enlightenment. It favors direct self-realization through meditation and dharma. Meditation is the core aspect of Zen practice. Zen meditation is formally described as a sitting meditation with awareness being directed towards counting or watching the breath.  Experienced practitioners of Zen meditation strive to be aware of the stream of thoughts in their minds, allowing them to arise and pass away without interference. How to Develop The Ability to See and Read The Aura

HJ: The idea that only certain people born with special gifts or talents have the ability to see auras is patently false.  The truth is that everyone has this ability.  It is a sense just like taste, sight, touch, smell, or hearing, however, it is one that is not always readily accessible (except for a small percentage of people who retain the ability to see the aura into adulthood — we are all able to see auras at a young enough age).  For most of us, it requires practice and learned sensitivity to subtle energies to be able to do so.  The secret key to being able to see auras and also being able to do anything you set your mind to, is to truly believe at the core of your being that it is possible.  Without the belief that you can indeed see auras, you will be sabotaging yourself unconsciously from doing so. Discovering Happiness in a World of Negative Illusion

Dawning upon a new chapter in my life after graduating college is frightening, but brings with it a tremendous opportunity for the future.

I’m working everyday at a job I hate, around a bunch of negative people who are currently not happy with their lives. I can now understand why the majority of adults these days are miserable. What I believe is the cause to the misery is not the terrible job they are working, or the negative people who bring them down for eight hours, it’s that fact that they think they do not have an alternative.  Read more of this post

The Voice of Planet Earth in 3-D (VIDEO)

Our universe is not silent. Although space is a vacuum, this does not mean there is no sound in space. Sound exists as electromagnetic vibrations. The specially designed instruments on board the NASA Voyager and other probes performed special experiments to pick up and record these vibrations, all within the range of human hearing (20-20,000 cycles per second). The Healing Power of Sound & The Transformational Aspects of Music

HJ: I think it is safe to say that we have all had the experience of being profoundly moved by a piece of music.  It is truly a mystical experience in every sense of the word… but what exactly is responsible for this incredible, palpable emotional effect?  The study of sound as a healing tool has led to some incredible, groundbreaking research into the brain, nervous system and exactly how these forces interact to produce significant changes that can have very real effects on our mind, emotions, body and even spirit.

This contemporary research is able to provide insight into what ancient societies and tribes knew and embraced wholeheartedly.  To my knowledge, every culture on the planet in some way incorporated music — sound with intention and form — into the fabric of its existence.  In fact, cultures such as the Buddhists of Tibet developed many instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, and gongs which have profound, consciousness transforming effects, which can be felt by anyone has ever experienced them either in person or via recording. NASA Voyager Records The Sounds of Jupiter (VIDEO)

Jupiter is mostly composed of hydrogen and helium. The entire planet is made of gas, with no solid surface under the atmosphere. The pressures and temperatures deep in Jupiter are so high that gases form a gradual transition into liquids which are gradually compressed into a metallic “plasma” in which the molecules have been stripped of their outer electrons. The winds of Jupiter are a thousand meters per second relative to the rotating interior.

Jupiter’s magnetic field is four thousand times stronger than Earth’s, and is tipped by 11° degrees of axis spin. This causes the magnetic field to wobble, which has a profound effect on trapped electronically charged particles. This plasma of charged particles is accelerated beyond the magnetosphere of Jupiter to speeds of tens of thousands of kilometres per second. It is these magnetic particle vibrations which generate some of the sound you hear on this recording. Read more of this post
