Danish architectural studio Cebra announced the project of building the world’s largest indoor ski resort. Denmark has no elevated mountains because of its location in the northern region, so they decided to design this resort. The architects proposed a six-pointed “snowflake” of three bridges, crossed at equal angles in Randers.

North Korea has announced their 3rd nuclear test which is aimed at the United States. Yea this seems like pretty serious news, but our leaders don’t seem too concerned. I’m pretty sure that if North Korea ever tried to send a nuke our way, we would immediately shoot it out of the sky and send 20 of them back in their direction. I’m not an expert on this stuff, but I don’t see North Korea attempting to blow us up any time soon. They know how terrible that decision would turn out for them.
But to hear that our enemy is testing their nuclear weapons could be very scary to some people and that is very understandable. Countries have been testing nuclear weapons since the 1940s, and no one has yet to attempt a nuclear strike anywhere remotely close to us. People should be more concerned about the environmental/health problems caused by the testing rather than actually getting bombed.

The subject of heated debate.
Going into 2013, its interesting to reflect back at this past year. A year in which the theme was curiosity, exploration, and advancement, a glaring tarnish must be discussed. A War on Christmas?
Recently there has been a lot of news coverage about a “War on Christmas”. This is nothing new, there has always seemed to be some sort of non-existent war going on between Theists and Atheists. I am openly an atheist, but I still get excited about this time of year. It really is a great time of the year, everything changes for the better. Think about how much the winter would suck if we didn’t have the holidays to look forward to. There just seems to be a different type of excitement this time of year that is inexplicable. As a political “junkie”, it really doesn’t get more exciting than this. It’s really the first time the candidates for president of 
the United States will be in the same room let alone the fact that they get to argue with each other for two hours. Now yes I will agree with you the debates are not exactly exciting. Most of the time they are pre-scripted questions with pre-scripted answers but still its really exciting because
A) There is a chance something can be said that could completely change the tone of the election &
B) You have both candidates finally standing next to each other saying what they are going to do fix the country. It’s the first time where you can compare them side by side. Read more of this post

CERN isn’t done just yet.
After discovering the smallest particle that could ever exist, the team at CERN is now considering scaling up, with an even larger brand new particle collider. The Geneva based team discovered what they believe is the Higgs Boson, also known as the “God Particle” this summer but they aren’t completely satisfied with their findings. The proposal features a new underground accelerator with a circumference of 50 miles, three times the size of the current one under Geneva. Read more of this post

Chefchaouen is a small beautiful city with a population of about 40,000, located in northeastern Morocco near the Mediterranean Sea.
The city was founded in 1471 in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangiera and Tetouan and used as a fortress which still exists today. The fortress was built to fight the invasions of the Portuguese of Northern Morocco. This town is the embodiment of almost every Moroccan cliché. The picturesque medina, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rif Mountains, is filled with white-washed homes with distinctive Blue walls everywhere!
