During the Presidential State of the Union address, President Obama spoke about raising the minimum wage to $9.00 an hour. Specifically he said “No one who works full-time, should have to live in poverty.” When its put like that, its pretty hard to disagree with, how could anyone disagree with that? Well, those people are called Republicans. When it comes to proposing an increase to the minimum wage, their trepidations aren’t exactly unfounded and wrong. There are legitimate reasons why an increase to the minimum wage, especially in this economy, is a bad idea. Read more of this post

HJ: I can tell you this with utmost certainty: there is no quicker way to health than the adoption of a diet of whole, organic, unrefined foods and there is no quicker way to disease and malaise than the lack thereof. The role of whole foods in health is greatly underestimated by the current medical establishment, although this is changing quite rapidly. The powers that be are aware of this fact, which is why they have fought tooth and nail over the last century to devitalize our foods into nutritionless, genetically modified matter that serves little purpose than to keep us in an addicted, chemicalized stupor.

In this day and age, it is becoming incredibly difficult to deny the countless benefits of marijuana as medicine. Big Pharma and governments have been found guilty, repeatedly, of concealing the evidence that marijuana is not only harmless but has the potential to become the mother of all cures.
It’s called science. Regrettably, it looks like science has been prostituted by big business and made to say whatever those who hold the purse strings want it to say. The emerging fact is that marijuana is not only a powerful medicine that will help alleviate suffering but also that marijuana might have a potentially beneficial effect on preventing and curing deadly diseases like cancer.
So why do our political leaders refuse to see the scientific facts?
Is it just ignorance or something else? Read more of this post

I would like to believe that most somewhat sane/consciously-aware individuals will agree with me when I say that cannabis is essentially harmless, if not very beneficial for your overall health and well-being. Denial of this fact is simply a matter of ignorance and closed minded-ness, something a lot of us struggle with on a daily basis.
If you don’t agree with me that marijuana is beneficial and harmless to the human body, you probably have not done enough research yet, or you might have researched false information. I won’t go into specific details in this post but the information is out there and available for you, free of charge. Just make sure where you look is a reputable source. Just because the source is “mainstream” shouldn’t by any means automatically make it credible. Credibility is essentially up for you to decide.

Below is an infographic that deals with why most average people think cannabis is illegal, and the true reasoning behind cannabis actually being illegal. Have a look for yourself: (left-click for larger image) Read more of this post

If only I could lobotomize myself with a large vehicle battery, a bottle of Jack Daniels and a pair of heavy duty jumper cables, I might be able to cognitively function at the same convoluted level as the radical left. Over the last decade or so, the radical left has reminded us again and again that prohibition doesn’t work for marijuana — nor for alcohol — and they celebrated the decriminalization of marijuana in Colorado and Washington. If a $10K hotel room seems like an extravagant expense to you, it means you’re out of alignment with the mindset that’s capable of producing $10K of value very quickly. It’s not the expensive room itself that helps you contribute. What helps you contribute is thinking about what it would take to become the kind of person who could afford to stay in a $10K hotel room without thinking twice about it — because that’s a person who’s capable of generating massive value very efficiently. When you can’t feel individual keys on a touchscreen device it can be hard to type at speed.
That is why Tactus, a company based in California, has developed technology which can turn a typical flat tablet screen into a real keyboard with bumpy buttons.
The keyboard rises from the tablet when needed, before disappearing when the typing is done.
Micah Yairi from Tactus explained how it works:

The USA is in an official flu pandemic panic right now, with Boston declaring a public health emergency and hospitals setting up flu treatment tents as if cities were war zones. Recently there has been a lot of news coverage about a “War on Christmas”. This is nothing new, there has always seemed to be some sort of non-existent war going on between Theists and Atheists. I am openly an atheist, but I still get excited about this time of year. It really is a great time of the year, everything changes for the better. Think about how much the winter would suck if we didn’t have the holidays to look forward to. There just seems to be a different type of excitement this time of year that is inexplicable.
