NYC Fashion Week Kick-off: Meet Designer Michele Lovetri

One of the great things about ZazenLife is that we genuinely enjoy helping people out with any start-ups, foundations, charities, non-profits etc. We were once a newly born website looking for guidance and direction, and we received it from people that we consider business partners today. Karma is an amazing thing. Sharing and spreading positive energy with anyone can go a long way.

Since Fashion Week has started up in NYC, we decided to promote a non-profit called CITYarts, Inc and up and coming designer Michele Lovetri. She is a handbag designer who started last September 2012 and has quickly impressed the fashion world. During her latest show, they raised $2,000 for CITYarts. Check out some pictures of her work and latest fashion show below!

Foodscapes: Artist Makes Landscapes Out of Food

I’m a big fan of unique and bizarre artwork. Originality is the most important thing to me when observing art, and I’m sure this is the case for many other fans of unique art. When I first discovered Carl Warners art I was in shock. The landscapes that he makes out of food are simply amazing – so amazing that I first doubted it. Art Gallery: “Zero”

“That’s the sound, my generation lost something that cannot be found. A combination of here and there, but some how we ended up elsewhere. Our sense of purpose, pride and value are gone but mine are not, I’ve had the strength to hold on. We say we have fear and we have love, but I have seen none that I can speak of. I wonder most the time, why it is I lose my mind. But it’s all the same because I have myself to blame. It’s easy to sit and complain but I can’t, I’ll be that change. You know a lot of people get scared and a lot of people fail but not me, that’s not how I’m built. I will not go and sit around filled with self guilt. I refuse to lose and I refuse to be denied of what I know I should achieve. It’s hard to get back up when you fall but the fight is long, so get up and give this life your all.”

Human Motorcycles Formed by Painted Yoga Hotties

Marketing and Promoting are easily two of the most important factors in a successful business. Progressive International Motorcycle Show has the same opinion. They hired an advertising and branding studio called  i.d.e.a. to create a series of human motorcycles from the contorted bodies of yoga experts and circus performers.

The bikes took around 15 hours each to perfect including the body painting, stretching and photography. Poses were held from 15 seconds to 2 full minutes! Imagine the pain and soreness these Yoga gurus went through. This wasn’t a problem considering the two massage therapists on set.
