One of the great things about ZazenLife is that we genuinely enjoy helping people out with any start-ups, foundations, charities, non-profits etc. We were once a newly born website looking for guidance and direction, and we received it from people that we consider business partners today. Karma is an amazing thing. Sharing and spreading positive energy with anyone can go a long way.
Since Fashion Week has started up in NYC, we decided to promote a non-profit called CITYarts, Inc and up and coming designer Michele Lovetri. She is a handbag designer who started last September 2012 and has quickly impressed the fashion world. During her latest show, they raised $2,000 for CITYarts. Check out some pictures of her work and latest fashion show below!

In this day and age, it is becoming incredibly difficult to deny the countless benefits of marijuana as medicine. Big Pharma and governments have been found guilty, repeatedly, of concealing the evidence that marijuana is not only harmless but has the potential to become the mother of all cures.
It’s called science. Regrettably, it looks like science has been prostituted by big business and made to say whatever those who hold the purse strings want it to say. The emerging fact is that marijuana is not only a powerful medicine that will help alleviate suffering but also that marijuana might have a potentially beneficial effect on preventing and curing deadly diseases like cancer.
So why do our political leaders refuse to see the scientific facts?

Chakras are energy centers or focal points in the body where energy moves in, out, and through the body. There are seven main chakras, all located along the mid line of human body, and each of which governs certain mental, spiritual, and physical aspects of the individual existence.
Generally speaking, the chakras that are located in the upper part of the body are associated with the mental and psychological side of existence. Those in the lower part of the body are connected to the instinctual side of being.
Each of these centers is inherently associated with both spiritual energy and physical health. They are tied to the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental wellbeing of an individuals and any imbalance in a chakra points to an imbalance in the energy of the person. Read more of this post
