The 2013 WSOP Fact Sheet

The 44th annual WSOP is underway this summer as many amateurs and pros alike seek to claim one of the most coveted prizes in poker. There are over 62 bracelets up for grabs as players will play out the WSOP poker throughout the summer until July 15th when the main event final table is reached.The WSOP poker will be held as it normally is at the Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. Buy-ins range from $500 to $111,111 and the WSOP hopes to surpass the total prize pool of $222,035,192 that it posted last year in 2012. The defending main event champion is professional poker player Greg Merson who won $8,531,853 for his efforts.

In 2012, a total of 74,766 participated with 6,598 of those playing in the main event. The $1,000,000 One Drop event is now $111,111 hoping to attract more participants and raise additional money for charity. Pokerlistings as always will have live updates on all of the events of the series!

“Bring your bankroll, whatever it is, and come have the time of your life,” said WSOP Tournament Director Jack Effel, who will oversee the tournament for the eighth consecutive year. “We think this is the most diverse schedule we’ve ever had and we’ll be ready for an all out at the 44th annual WSOP.”
