According to brain scans and years of research, doctors say that sugar is just as addictive as cocaine. It’s a given that abusing cocaine is a disgusting habit, but what about abusing sugar? A lot of people don’t realize that Americans abuse the shit out of sugar to the point where it’s actually dangerous to their health.

    I’ve been diabetic since age 14, and I always thought I was robbed of sugar by my body. I still ate it, but I was very unhealthy. Now, sugar is a rare treat, and if I do eat sugar, it’s usually from fruit (fructose.) This is a great post — I hope everyone who reads it acts on it as well!
