We live in a fasted paced, over stimulated world. Filled with bright lights, flashy sights, and attention grabbers. As we buzz along with our day-to-day activities there always seems to be something that we are missing. There seems to be something that is there, but seemingly elusive. What is this undercurrent? Some might call it the background to our lives. Some call it the little intuition behind each thought. Regardless of what we call it, we can rest assured that this undercurrent space plays a major role in our lives.
The magnitude for which it plays is up to us.
We have a unique opportunity to become aware of something special. The undercurrent space amongst all vibrational sound. But, before we do this we must consider hearing our world in a different way. We should take in consideration that we are used to attracting our attention towards audible sound, focusing in on things that jump out at us. This is what some call “peaks in our experience”. Meaning, we normally gravitate our attention towards things that peak out of the silent space, or “nothingness”.
In regards to recognizing this, I would take time to site in a noisy place. After about five or ten minutes, become aware of the space in between the sounds that accure. Then, after you have focused on the space for a few minutes, shift back to normal thinking. You will realize that when you shift back your mind tends to jump to sounds that stand out. Ultimately, you mind does this things outside of just sound. This, I’ll leave you to discover.
Let us now put this above technique to work. I have designed a recording specifically for you to try the space technique out on. Click on the link below. Listen to the music normal for a few seconds, then shift your attention to the space in between the notes. By doing this you are subjecting yourself to something very powerful. The source of the notes. The source from which something is born out of nothing.
The space in between the notes can yield great insite to sound production. Just like with vibrational sound, our thoughts come out of space as well.
It is important to note that how we react to sound in our immediate surroundings is very much like how react to thoughts that rise up in our minds. We tend to jump to the first thought that presents itself as valid. By doing this, we limit ourselves from options that could be better for us and everyone else. If we truly want change in this world, we must distance ourselves from our current way of seeing the world. The first step in doing this is by changing our way of thinking. Through this process of listening to the space between the sounds, we can cultivate a mind that is open and aligned with our lives. Our opportunity awaits us. For the space is here, and always will be.
Ultimately, our choice can make the different of a lifetime.
Safe Travels Space Goers.
