Who Are You to Say What Smart Is?

I’ll admit that I am horrible at judging how smart people are. In High School or even College I would get intimidated when the dork in the front row with his perfect posture would raise his hand and answer the craziest questions with the most specific answers. I immediately would think to myself “How the fuck did he know that?” or even “What the hell do those words mean?”
Seriously though, didn’t you hate those people? Like do you really have to raise your hand and try to make me look even worse than I already am at school? The funny thing is that one time someone did this in an Economics course that I took and I thought this kid was a genius. A week later he comes into class with a broken leg and wrist because he decided to drive his motorcycle up an entrance ramp of a highway.
This is when I realized that there are different kinds of smartness. Some people are just really good at school, and some people aren’t. But someone who dropped out of high school can have a higher IQ than someone graduating college this year. Someone can have more common sense than the guy that scored perfectly on his SAT. People that are book smart are not always the handiest people around, but does that make them stupid? Or does it make the handy people stupid that aren’t book smart?
In my opinion everyone on this earth is stupid including myself. Whether it is war, drugs, fights, killings, shootings, polluting, smoking, massacres, terrorism, sacrifices or whatever other retarded shit we do to each other, we are all contributing to the destruction of our planet.
But hey, there are always exceptions, and here they are.
