Joe, you have some serious daddy issues. Get help. Talk to someone. There are some very capable adolescent human beings that can help you to be everything your papa wasn’t. Don’t just spin your wheels, get on that bike and RIDE!
I think Joe is making a generalization about how life is perceived for a lot of people, especially in the field of pre-determined patterns of behavior in today’s culture. He is referencing how we are programmed into believing certain things just because our parents did. But we don’t. We are smarter now, our technological evolution has given us the ability to access any information throughout history at the speed of light. Our parents didn’t have that. We do. If we choose to do so, we can consciously make the choice to live our own lives free of cultural boundaries.
