Swedish Treasure Hunters Investigate Underwater UFO
June 18, 2012 3 Comments
In June of last year, Swedish treasure hunters located a strange disk-like object 90 meters under the Baltic Sea. The team of divers picked up the bizarre structure on their sonar, and experts have failed to explain the images. The team, known as “Ocean X” is now returning to try and unveil this mystery.
The object they are after is huge, and rises three or four meters above the seabed and is approximately 60 meters in diameter. The crew also observed a 300-meter-long “trail” that they described as a “runway or downhill path that is flattened at the seabed with the object at the end of it.”
Sonar-based imagery can be confusing, and the team realized that this might only be natural rock formations that just happen to bear the shape of a UFO like object. They remain skeptical, but are eager to find out what this object really is. The expedition is expected to last for six to ten days, and is financially backed by an undisclosed sponsor.
One of the Ocean X team divers, Stefan Hogeborn, says that during his 20-year diving career, including 6000 dives, he has never seen anything like this. They thought at first it was only stone, but no volcanic activity has ever been reported in the Baltic Sea.
