46% of Americans are creationists; believing that evolution was guided by God.
About a third of Americans believe that humans evolved, but with God’s guidance; 15% say humans evolved, but that God had no part in the process.

An interesting question. I do not believe in God, as the Christians, Jews, and Muslims do. I think people’s enthusiastic adherence to books written by humans long ago is sad. I do believe that there is a force, made of the combined spirits of humans from the beginning of our existence, which works in concert with the force which arises from the rest of nature, from trees to toads. I believe that we are our own god, and that our spirits were the driving force for the continued development of the human race.
