Joe Rogan Speaks The Truth About School

I have felt this way for a long time about the education system, especially how the education system in America limits children in their creativity.
As you grow older, you just begin to accept the fact that you have to put up with it as much as you don’t want to deal with it. There are some interesting classes that I have taken in school, but for the majority of them, I have retained ZERO information from because I simply wasn’t interested. If I ever need any of that information again, I will just search for it on the internet and not have it forced upon my memory. I’ll save my brainpower and energy for more fun, creative tasks.
We limit our potential for growth when we limit our creativity, and school prevents a lot of children from creatively expressing themselves because they are trapped in a structured system all day. They then go on to believe that a structured system is the way life is to be lived. This is however, one of the biggest illusions we fall victim to.
Structure is important, but too much structure can leave children strangled. They must be able to express themselves creatively for this is the best time in their life to be free.
Kids don’t have much to worry about, especially if their parents provide adequately for them. They don’t have to worry about jobs, and bills, and mortgages, they just have to worry about having fun. The fun doesn’t have to end either. It takes a developing awareness of your surroundings to realize that you don’t have to be forced to do something you truly do not want to do. You have the option of pursuing whatever you wish, it doesn’t have to be something you don’t like just because everyone else has been programmed to believe it is “the right path.” Don’t conform to patterns of the past, because those are old and we have become much smarter. We keep evolving, as long as we don’t restrict our ability to live our lives as the creative beings we are.
